eMoney is a way of transferring money to subscribers within an account or to other accounts. eMoney contains value that your customers can use to purchase products and services, typically pay-as-you-go services. An analogy to a real-world product might be a gift card.
eMoney can go into account wallets or subscriber wallets(*). An account wallet is the same as a customer account balance. A subscriber wallet is where the value of a subscriber's eMoney products is held.
Customers are not allowed to use their account wallet or subscriber wallet to purchase eMoney for their account wallet.
You can have two types of wallets in an account:
When an eMoney product is purchased, its value goes to a subscriber wallet if it is being bought for a subscriber in the purchaser's account and to an account wallet if it is being bought for the account or if it is being gifted to a subscriber in another account. In the latter case, a subscriber with account control in the giftee's account can then transfer the eMoney account value to the giftee's subscriber wallet.
